Families, You’re Invited: Try Test Ready Free for Three Months!
Preparing for the PSAT, SAT, or ACT can feel overwhelming. Knowing what to practice—and how to get started—can make the process more manageable.
Test Ready is offered through The Johnel Bryant Robinson Foundation in collaboration with St. Charles Tutoring Lab. Building on the Lab’s experience providing tutoring, ACT preparation, and CLEP camps, the platform brings reading practice, test strategies, games, and learning resources into a format families can use at home.
Now, we’re inviting our blog readers to try it through a special free pilot!
A Reading Lab Alongside Test Preparation
One of Test Ready’s key features is its Reading Lab.
Reading comprehension matters across subjects. Students need opportunities to identify main ideas, understand vocabulary in context, recognize an author’s purpose and tone, and find evidence to support their answers.
Test Ready brings these skills together with PSAT, SAT, and ACT preparation, giving students opportunities to practice reading and apply strategies as part of their study routine.
A Game Plan for 15 Minutes a Day
Created by a classroom teacher and informed by experience coaching students, Test Ready includes a four-week mission plan built around 15 minutes of purposeful practice a day.
Students and families can explore:
- ACT, SAT, and PSAT preparation options
- Reading Lab activities that support comprehension
- Interactive games for practicing skills and strategies
- Videos and learning resources available within missions
- Links to official practice resources to use alongside the app’s questions
- An Insight Notebook for reviewing mistakes and recording strategies
- A Family Game Plan with information about testing, college costs, and scholarships
Students can choose resources that fit their needs within their daily practice. Full-length practice tests require additional time.
A Special Pilot Offer for Our Blog Readers
We’re offering three months of free access to the first 30 participants who redeem the pilot code.
Your coupon code: TESTREADYPILOT
No payment information is required, and there is no automatic renewal. Your three months begin when you redeem the code.
Here’s how to get started:
- Visit Test Ready.
- Sign in with your email address. If the sign-in email doesn’t appear, check your spam or junk folder.
- Find “Have a pilot coupon?”
- Enter TESTREADYPILOT and select “Activate free pilot access.”
Use the same email address when returning on your phone, tablet, or computer so your access and saved progress stay connected. A parent or guardian can manage the account used for a younger learner.
Try It Together—and Tell Us What You Think
Families can help by encouraging a consistent routine and asking simple questions:
What did you practice today? What strategy helped? What would you like to work on next?
As pilot participants, we also invite you to share honest, respectful, and constructive feedback through the feedback form inside the platform. Both positive experiences and concerns can help us improve.
Tell us which activities were useful, what your student found engaging, where directions were confusing, or whether something did not work as expected. Specific examples help us understand what needs attention. Please avoid including private student information in your comments.
Start With One Mission
The goal is to give families useful tools and students a clear place to begin—one reading activity, one strategy, and one mission at a time.
Practice does not guarantee a particular score or scholarship. This pilot is an opportunity to explore the resources, build a routine, and help us make Test Ready more useful for families.
